HB 2392    RELATING TO HEALTH                         CPC, FIN
        Requires health  insurance  coverage under accident
        and sickness individual  policies  and group health
        maintenance organization and mutual benefit society
        contracts   to   include   coverage   for  diabetes
        outpatient self-management  training  and education
        and equipment and supplies.

HB 2215    RELATING TO INSURANCE                           CPC
        Adds to definition of insurer, self-insurers.

HB 2797    RELATING TO INSURANCE CODE                      CPC
        Clarifies federal  statutory  citation  in HRS that
        requires group and  individual  health insurance to
        comply   with   the    federal   Health   Insurance
        Portability Act of 1996.

HB 2216    RELATING TO UNINSURED MOTOR VEHICLES            CPC
        Redefines  "uninsured   motor   vehicle"  where  an
        unidentified vehicle causes  the  accident so as to
        delete notice to the insurer.

HB 2315    RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE             CPC
        Reduces damages recovered  in  motor vehicle injury
        suits by  50%  of  the  personal  injury protection
        benefits rather than  by  greater  of $5,000 of the
        total personal injury protection benefits.

 
HB 2316    RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE             CPC
        Clarifies that insurers  have  the right to require
        independent medical examinations  of the insured in
        motor vehicle insurance.

HB 2378    RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE             CPC
        Raises liability insurance minimums from $20,000 to
        $25,000  and  aggregate   limits  from  $40,000  to
        $100,000 per accident

HB 2470    RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE             CPC
        Clarifies motor vehicle  insurance laws prohibiting
        certain discriminatory practices.

HB 2479    RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE EXPRESS WARRANTY
        ENFORCEMENT (LEMON LAW)                         CPC
        Includes the finance and interest charges paid by a
        consumer in the consumer's "Lemon Law" refund.

HB 2978    RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE             CPC
        Authorizes motor vehicle  insurers  to base ratings
        on age and education under certain circumstances.
